Sounds of My Writings: The Whisper of God

In lure of Covid-19, and the effects it’s having throughout the world there is a silent voice that can be heard which is not being broadcast by any media outlet nor emergency briefing. It is the voice of one calling in the wilderness of your heart especially during this period of uncertainty.

You have shrugged it off, have been in denial, and have attempted to manage these concerns by keeping yourselves busy. You’ve said “everything will return to normal, life is good, and things are great. For sure our government will find a cure, and our scientist will rectify this problem”. While you and I wait, I encourage you to listen to the whisper of God.

Times are changing, things are changing, but God will never change. Seek him, set your heart towards him, and he will answer!

1 Kings 19:11-12

11 The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

12 After the earthquake came to a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came to a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
