Sounds of My Writings: Good but Not God

To often I have witnessed in every level of ministry, secular life, and even in the top of the workforce - some of the most wonderful deeds being performed by earth’s finest people. These individuals are the most optimist, well respected, well to do citizens who are always looking to offer a helping hand.

They feed the hungry, clean communities, offer jobs, cloth the homeless, and even save lives. But, for some unfortunate reason, their hearts are callused and dwarfed by unbelief - in the only God who has richly blessed them. Yes, their hands will never grow idle, but what they have touched has become their only idol.

Random acts of kindness have a place in the human heart. But, nothing can replace the love and presence of a living God in the human soul.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not by works so that no one can boast.
