When you come into the presence of the living God to pray you must know, understand, and believe that he is. He is present, he is alive, he is your father, he is your friend, he is your confidant, your maker, your Savior, your healer, your provider, and the lifter of your head. He is lovingly sovereign over all things and has authority over all.

Pray child of God, for he knows and listens even before you utter a Word. You may say “why pray than if he knows all things?”. For you were unaware child, that your words are the seed of faith that causes heaven and earth to unite and collide. You have not, because you ask not.

Hebrews 11:1-6

1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

4 By faith, Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith, he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead. 5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

6 And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Do not let your wealth become your curse. For remember, in humility, where you were in the midst of your poverty. Who did you cry to? and whose arms were stretched out to assist you? It was the Lord God, your helper. Do not despise those in humble circumstances.

Do not allow arrogance to contaminate your heart, nor pride your thoughts. God himself will humble the proud, and exalt the humble. It is he who is your dwelling place, and he who saved you. You were blessed so that you may bless others. Do not use the same hands that were made for healing, to hurt others. And do not allow for bitterness and sweetness to coincide on your lips.

Love others, in the manner you desire for them to love you. Be a blessing.

1 Peter 3:8-12

8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.

11 They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
