Loneliness ails the soul. It is an emotional disease that tells the beautiful, you are ugly. The strong you are weak, the educated, you are dum. It drives the loved, to an unlovely place. And isolates your potential from the many.

Don’t live life lonely, even though you may find yourself alone. Be productive, accomplish your dreams, and exercise your God-given potential. There is no time to waste, begin cherishing yourself for you were fearfully designed and made.

Psalms 139:13-17

13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!

The past is long gone, you and I can not return to change a matter. But, if you are breathing today, you can make matters better!

Like a VHS, DVD, or CD our minds have the unfortunate ability to replay out a scene in our past and repeat it so many times that we become engulfed or paralyzed with no hope on moving forward. Sometimes it takes brut determination to say enough is enough and move forward. Other times we are too weak to make that leap forward. But, as a Good Shepherd, God says to cast your cares and burdens upon me and I will give you rest. Like sheep that need help, we can rest in the hands of a living God who is compassionate and caring. And, a God who desires to anoint (rub) your head with oil so that these reoccurring thoughts and patterns slip away!

Break the patterns that disable you and rest your heads in the hands of a gracious and loving God!

Psalms 23:5-6

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
