Stay true to yourself, God is not asking you to copy what others are saying or doing. Set your eyes in the heavens, and your ears sensitive to His voice. This walk is personal, and requires intimacy with the one who loves you, and has made you.

You are peculiar and unique, and he loves you just the way you are. Embrace the hands of the Good Shepherd, and he will lead you beside still waters till the end!

Psalms 23:1-3

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

The only thing to combat bad news, fake news or any other news for that matter is to embrace the Good News of Jesus Christ. Submerge your thoughts and the concurring feelings of your heart through the streams of God’s eternal Word.

It will bathe you, wash you, restore you, and even transform you if you do not harden your hearts in doubt and unbelief. God continually reigns from His throne and there is a stream that makes glad those who dwell in the presence and city of our God!

Wash yourself.

Psalms 46:1-11

1God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

4There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day. 6Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields d with fire. 10He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Even though this process our nation has been through has been painstakingly difficult, there is still hope when a nation is willing to return to its founding principles. Principles that are anchored in morality, decency, and respect for God.

I yield to and respect the office of the Presidency. For I am a man under authority, and therefore I respect authority regardless of my personal opinions and preferences. Anyone who defies authority will eventually become diseased and infected by rebellion.

Check yourself.

John 19:7-11

7The Jewish leaders insisted, “We have a law, and according to that law he must die because he claimed to be the Son of God.” 8When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid, 9and he went back inside the palace. “Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10“Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?”

11Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”
